    The Prime Minister's Advisor for Financial Affairs, Mazhar Muhammad Salih, revealed today, Sunday, the actual annual number of those wishing to work, stressing that the accumulated problems can only be solved by revitalizing the private sector.
    Saleh said, "Some of the rights received for citizens must be framed by laws in order to ensure their eligibility," noting "the necessity of activating key appointments, which will greatly contribute to revitalizing the Iraqi economy in the private sector."
    And he indicated that “the actual number of the unemployed who are added to the labor market annually is 400,000 people who want to work,” stressing that “if the private sector is properly activated, it attracts 50% of the unemployed annually, and therefore there is no job and practical backlog.”
    Saleh pointed out that "the accumulated problems can only be solved by revitalizing the private sector with the provision of financial guarantees for it, so that the citizen is reassured about his future."
    On the unification of salaries in the private and public sectors, according to productivity, he explained that “this matter needs a bold decision that is cooked on a quiet fire with a long-term political presence, in addition to that pension salaries must also be unified, and this is one of the wise policies to maintain the labor market.” .
    The number of the unemployed, according to estimates by the Ministry of Labor based on previous statistics, is approximately 5 million.
