    Today, Wednesday, the Ministry of Planning confirmed the completion of the first phase of the electronic system that allows Iraqi contracting companies and contractors to submit requests for identity renewal.
    The ministry's spokesperson, Abdul-Zahra Al-Hindawi, said in a statement, received by "Al-Iqtisad News", that "the ministry has completed the first phase of the electronic system that allows Iraqi contracting companies and contractors to submit requests to renew identities, and classify companies for the first time, remotely, without the need to Ministry review.
    He added, "This measure came based on the directives of the Minister of Planning, Dr. Khaled Battal Al-Najm, to simplify the procedures for classifying contracting companies and contractors, because of the great developmental importance of the contracting sector," noting that "these directions come within the framework of supporting and empowering the private sector in general, and the construction sector in particular.
    Al-Hindawi called on contractors and contracting companies to “submit applications for renewing identities and classifying companies for the first time.”
