{Political: Al Furat News} The head of the National State Forces Alliance, Mr. Ammar al-Hakim, discussed with the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, and his accompanying delegation, the developments of the situation in Iraq, the results of the recent elections and the benefits of the next stage.
A statement by the office of the head of the Alliance of Powers, a copy of which was received by the agency {Euphrates News}, said that Mr. Al-Hakim and Mr. Al-Sadr "stressed the need to bring the public interest to precedence over private interests, and to put an end to the suffering of citizens by advancing the service reality in Iraq."
He added, "It was also emphasized the importance of concerted efforts towards the upcoming benefits, and the necessity for the next government to be a service government that meets the aspirations of citizens."
The two leaders indicated "the importance of adopting peaceful and legal methods in objecting to the election results, and the commission and the judiciary bear the responsibility of seriously considering complaints and appeals in a manner that enhances the confidence of the citizen and the political forces in the electoral process."
