Five days have passed since a visit in which the media was busy, and politicians and observers relied on it to heal the rift between the Shiite blocs.

Contacts between the Sadrist movement and the coordination framework regarding Massoud Barzani's initiative are cut off, as deputies and members of both parties confirm
The President of the Kurdistan Region [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Nechirvan Barzani, the Speaker of Parliament, Muhammad al-Halbousi, and the President of the Sovereignty Alliance, Khamis al-Khanjar, during their visit to Najaf province to meet with the leader of the Sadrist movement, carried an initiative launched by the leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Massoud Barzani, which included assigning the position of Vice President of the Republic to the head of the State of Law coalition, Nuri al-Maliki, who replaced The dispute with the chest.

Even 48 hours before the supposed session of the House of Representatives to choose the President of the Republic, no clear positions emerged, either from the Sadrist movement or the forces of the coordination framework regarding Barzani's initiative to bring them together.
But the latter, according to its members, intends to hold a meeting this evening, Saturday, February 5, 2022, to distribute the tasks of the framework’s representatives in the parliamentary committees, according to the [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] of the Al-Fateh coalition, Intisar al-Moussawi, who alluded to a movement the framework is engaged in to “prove the most numerous bloc” after the recent Federal Court decision.

Members of the framework claim that they have 88 seats in the House of Representatives, gathered from several blocs, most notably Al-Fateh, the State of Law coalition and the forces of the state, compared to 74 seats for the Sadrist movement that it won in the elections.
No initiative, but an emergency agreement
The reason lies in the lack of interaction with Barzani's initiative, which "was not at the level required to resolve the political crisis in Iraq," says the leader in the coordination framework for the state of law, Kazem al-Haidari, as it suggested to al-Sadr and his allies granting the position of Vice President of the Republic, the number of ministries, and consensus on the leadership of the government. In addition to entering as a single Shiite bloc by a single decision of the parliament session, the position of Vice President of the Republic "does not mean anything to the forces of the framework as much as the good results that can be achieved by consensus between the two parties."

The coordination framework is engaged in a movement to prove the most numerous bloc after the latest interpretation of the Federal Court
It seems that the Federal Court’s interpretation of the largest bloc and the quorum of the presidential election session “put all the political forces in a very narrow angle,” as Al-Haidari confirms in an interview with “Ultra Iraq.” He believes that “this interpretation will push everyone to agree sooner or later, and it is stronger than the effect of Barzani’s initiative.” ".
And at a time when no negotiations are taking place between the framework and the Sadrist movement and those with it, according to Al-Haidari, the meeting of the coordination framework scheduled to be held in the coming hours will be important “to come up with decisive decisions regarding everything that is going on in the political arena.”
    Dialogues to implement the initiative
On the other hand, the leader of the Democratic Party, Shawan Taha, confirms the continuation of negotiations on implementing the initiative of party leader Massoud Barzani and persuading the political parties in Baghdad with it.
In an interview with Ultra Iraq, Taha said, "Discussions are continuing about Barzani's initiative to unite the Shiite house in particular and resolve differences between the parties," as Barzani's goal in his initiative is "to move away from the policy of breaking the bone and excluding rule by the majority," as Taha put it.
The Kurdish leader believes that the problem in Iraq and among the Shiite parties in particular is not new, but rather it is eternal and structural and requires upgrading of thinking and giving priority to the interest of the country first before anything else. There is no solution for the next stage except to submit to the rule of consensus, calm the situation, and give priority to the public interest over personal and factional interests.
    No contacts.. the alliance continues
The tweet of the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, in which he called on the "reform representatives" not to vote for the candidate for the presidency of the republic who does not meet the conditions, has generated suspicion among many of the breakdown of the tripartite alliance.
