A representative of Babylon, "rapporteur for Parliament" and Al-Halbousi authorizes Al-Zamili regarding the committees
Shafaq News/ The Presidency of Parliament decided today, Monday, to choose MP Beida Khader as Rapporteur of the Iraqi Council of Representatives.
Shafak News Agency reporter said; The Presidency of the Council decided to choose the representative, Badaa Khader, from the Babylon bloc, as a rapporteur for the parliament, while another deputy will be chosen as a rapporteur for the Assembly.
Our correspondent in the Iraqi parliament added; The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Muhammad al-Halbousi, authorized the First Deputy of the House of Representatives, Hakim al-Zamili, to initiate with the House of Representatives the formation of parliamentary committees.
Our reporter noted; While the presidential election session turned into a consultative session; Deputy Adel Hashush Al-Rikabi took the constitutional oath to gain full membership in Parliament.
During the consultative session; Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi announced; Tomorrow (Tuesday) the Minister of Agriculture and the Minister of Commerce (in the caretaker government) will be hosted to hold a deliberative session headed by the Vice President to discuss a number of issues related to the agricultural reality in the Constitutional Hall at ten in the morning.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives also directed; The decision of the Council and the Secretary-General of the Council to host the Director General of the Companies Registration Department to know the numbers of Iraqi and foreign workers in the companies.
The parliament session was scheduled to take place at twelve o'clock local time to elect a new President of the Republic from among 25 candidates.
And on Sunday, the Sadrist bloc, the Sovereignty Alliance, the Kurdistan Democratic Party, and the Turkmen bloc announced their boycott of the parliament session, while the coordination framework welcomed the blocs' boycott of the session in order to allow more discussions to contain the existing differences.
These developments come after the Federal Supreme Court of Iraq issued a decision to stop the procedures for the nomination of Hoshyar Zebari for the post of President of the Republic until he resolved a lawsuit filed by four deputies on the grounds that Zebari did not meet the conditions required to occupy the position.
Legal experts considered that the Iraqi parliament's session dedicated to electing the new president has become suspended as a result of the recent Federal Court decision.
