Iraq's ambassador to Rome to RT: Iraq has become a regional and international meeting point

Commenting on the launch of the 36th Regional Conference for the Near East and North Africa in cooperation with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), Al-Suhail told RT that "Iraq has remarkably active its diplomatic role and its multilateral representation to UN organizations, including the Food and Agriculture Organization and the World Food Programme, as Baghdad took over Great interest in benefiting from regional integration work and international support to shift to more efficient, comprehensive, resilient and sustainable agricultural and food systems.
The Iraqi ambassador stressed the need for Iraq to adopt "strategic plans to provide the requirements for sustainable development for the rural community in order to achieve its food security, combat desertification, solve the problem of water and climate changes, and improve the environment."
Al-Suhail, who is Baghdad's permanent delegate to the United Nations organizations in Rome, added that "Iraq attaches great importance to working hand in hand with the Food and Agriculture Organization, member states and other relevant regional and international organizations in order to advance its agricultural and environmental situation, raise the competencies and capabilities of its rural communities and empower its women and youth in The countryside will benefit from knowledge, modern technology, job opportunities in the agricultural sectors, and the provision of supplies through specialized international cooperation.”
And she added, "These regional conferences provide a space for deliberation on how to activate joint regional action, to reach the desired integration to remove all obstacles" and "environmental and climatic problems and to provide food baskets to achieve food security for the region and the region."
Al-Suhail pointed out that "Iraq, with its effective diplomacy, has turned into a meeting point for the various parties in the region and the countries of the world.
