    Today, Monday, a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Sherif Suleiman, confirmed that the people’s representatives in the House of Representatives support changing the exchange rate and it may decline gradually, but the final decision is in the hands of the next government, while noting that setting a date for the election session of the President of the Republic awaits the Federal Court’s decision tomorrow . .
    A member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, MP Sharif Suleiman, told Al-Iraqiya News, and it was followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA): "The House of Representatives discussed with Finance Minister Ali Allawi during his hosting today on the issue of the exchange rate and the House of Representatives, and searched for an explicit answer about the extent to which the exchange rate can return to its previous era and how The budget surplus was spent after the rise in oil prices, and we believe that the hosting was good."
    He added that "the House of Representatives will take practical steps after hosting the state's financial situation, and we believe that perhaps, and the matter is not certain, the dinar exchange against the dollar will be gradually raised and not returned to what it was once," noting that "the representatives of the Iraqi people in the House of Representatives are determined to reduce the price of The exchange and the next government will be concerned with this file."
    He stressed that "the deputies asked a lot of questions to the Minister of Finance and is it possible to return to the previous exchange rate, and we are waiting for the Ministry of Finance's answer."
    With regard to the presidential election session, he said, "The House of Representatives is awaiting the position of the federal government on the issue of re-opening the door for candidacy for the presidency by the House of Representatives and excluding candidates, after which the House of Representatives session will determine the nomination of the President of the Republic."
    During a session hosted by him, Finance Minister Ali Allawi confirmed that restoring the exchange rate to what it was in an ill-considered manner may cause financial chaos, while noting that raising the value of the dollar against the dinar increased the state's imports by 23%.
