    Yes Iraq: Baghdad

The Iranian year that began since last March 2021 is approaching its end, with exports to Iraq close to what was achieved in 2019, excluding the year 2020, in which exports decreased due to the closure of Corona, with an achievement of more than 8.2 billion dollars in 2021, compared to 145 million dollars in 2002, which means that exports have multiplied 56 times over the past 20 years.

On Wednesday, Iranian customs spokesman Ruhollah Latifi announced that over the past 11 months, more than 28 million tons of goods worth 8 billion and 222 million dollars were exported to Iraq.
Latifi said, in a statement carried by the semi-official Iranian Mehr Agency, that: Many commonalities between the governments of Iran and Iraq have caused the country's non-oil exports to increase from $145 million in 2002 to $9 billion in 2020, and once again we expect the amount to increase for this. general.
He added that Iran's exports to Iraq in 2002 were about 145 million dollars, and in 2006 we witnessed the first jump of one billion and 224 million dollars, and in the following years it reached two billion and 762 million dollars, and the second jump occurred in 2010 with exports amounting to 4 billion and 560 million dollars.
Latifi also pointed out that the third jump was in 2013, as Iran's exports amounted to 6 billion and 337 million dollars this year, and the last jump in 2019 was 8 billion and 990 million dollars, and Iranian non-oil exports are still taking place on this path.
He stressed that the implementation of the agreement and the complete transportation of goods between the two countries, the command of the border unit, exports and appropriate packaging, production planning based on target markets and the production of more goods to meet the country's needs through Iraq can expand trade between the two countries.

Iraq achieves the highest exports to Iran in 20 years!
Regarding imports from Iraq, the Iranian customs spokesman said: "Iran's imports from Iraq over the 11 months of the Iranian year amounted to more than one billion dollars, which exceeds Iran's imports from Iraq in the past twenty years."
In this regard, “Yes-Iraq” has previously prepared a report to review what the Iranian side revealed about importing goods from Iraq about one billion dollars, at a time when these goods that Iraq were supposed to export to Iran, most of them were originally imported by Iraq.
Only a month has passed since Iraq concluded a deal to purchase wheat to compensate for the shortfall in its production of about half a million tons due to the lack of rain last season, before Iranian statements were issued talking about a “leap” in Iraq’s exports to Iran during the past ten months, and on top of these exports Wheat material.
Member of the Board of Directors of the Iranian-Iraqi Joint Chamber of Commerce, Hamid Hosseini, said in statements carried by Iranian media that Iran imported basic commodities from Iraq worth $920 million through Iran's frozen assets in Iraq.
Hosseini told the Iranian "Fars" news agency, "Iraq's exports to Iran annually reach $100 million, but the rise in exports to $920 million in the first ten months of the Iranian year that began last March, Iraq rose to rank 6 out of 26 in the ranking." Countries exporting to Iran.
Hosseini added, "Imports from Iraq were made through frozen Iranian stocks," explaining that "some basic commodities such as wheat and soy were imported for part of these stocks."
In more details about the goods that Iraq exported to Iran with a high value that touches one billion dollars, which may be for the first time in Iraq’s history to be exported with this value to Iran, customs spokesman Ruhollah Latifi explained that the countries that supplied Iran during the past ten months In order, they are: the UAE, China, Turkey, Germany, Switzerland, Russia, India, Britain and Iraq, noting that "the commodities imported from Iraq are wheat, corn, soybeans, barley, oils and sugar."
The irony is, that all the goods that the Iranian side disclosed as being imported from Iraq, Iraq imports them originally, and does not have a surplus to export to pay off part of the Iranian debts in Iraq.
Last January, Iraq bought about 150,000 tons of Australian wheat.
On February 7, the Ministry of Agriculture opened the door for importation of fodder crops represented by soy and corn, according to the spokesman of the Ministry, Hamid Al-Nayef, in press statements.
As for oils and sugar, Iraq buys them from local companies and sometimes imports them from abroad for the purpose of providing the ration card items.
It is clear from the foregoing, that Iraq does not possess a surplus of all products, but rather imports them, which raises the question of how Iraq has exported goods to Iran that it imports, which raises other questions about whether the Iraqi government has bought and imported these goods and sent them to Iran Instead of the Iranian debts and assets frozen in Iraq due to the export of gas.
