Earth News/ The Federal Supreme Court announced today, Tuesday, the annulment of the lawsuit (3 federal) regarding the unconstitutionality of Diwani Order 29 (the Abu Ragheef Committee) for the failure of the plaintiffs and their agents to attend.
It is noteworthy that the Federal Court ruled earlier that the Diwani Order No. 29 of 2020 regarding the formation of an investigative committee in corruption and important crimes cases was invalid and canceled.
She indicated that "the Diwani order regarding the formation of the committee is in violation of the provisions of Articles (19, 37, 38, 47, 80, 87, and 88) of the Constitution of the Republic of Iraq, as it violates the principle of separation of powers, and infringes upon human freedom and dignity, and the independence of the judiciary."
