In a phone call, Talabani and al-Sadr agree to "continue" talks
Shafaq News/ The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan and the Sadrist movement agreed to continue talks to reach solutions to the political impasse.
A statement by the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan was received by Shafak News Agency; That Bafel Jalal Talabani received a phone call from the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr.
The statement added; The two sides discussed political issues related to the current Iraqi situation, efforts to form the new government and ways to address the problems and obstacles facing the political process, as well as ways to get out of the political impasse.
He noted that the two sides agreed on the need to continue talks with a view to overcoming the circumstances the country is going through.
