The Ministry of Trade announced today, Sunday, the amount of wheat imported in the past three months, while indicating the possibility of using trains to transport foodstuffs between governorates.
A spokesman for the Ministry of Commerce, Muhammad Hanoun, said, "The ministry, in cooperation and coordination with the General Company for Land Maritime Transport of the Ministry of Transport and the Iraqi Transport Company, one of the mixed sector companies, has transported 150,000 tons of wheat," noting that "for the first time the materials are transported very quickly." This is an indication that cooperation is achieving progress."
He added, "The coming days will be limited to approving the Food Security Law and signing major agreements to supply materials," pointing to "the need for trains to enter as a means of transport to the provinces."
He continued, "There is a study in several procedures and directions for the purpose of transfer operations when the contract for providing strategic storage is signed, which was approved by the Council of Ministers." Ended 29 / h
