    Information/Baghdad: The
leader of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, Ghiath al-Sorji, stressed on Thursday that the region’s election law should have national dimensions, indicating that the drafting of the law does not come through imposing the will of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, but through dialogue with various parties.
Al-Sorji said in a statement to “Information” that “most of the political forces, including the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, the Change Movement, the Islamic Union, the New Generation and the Justice Group, believe that the electoral districts in the region should be divided into four electoral districts, not one district, as the Democratic Party insists.”
He added that "the region's election law should have national dimensions and that the drafting of the law does not come through imposing the will of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, but through dialogue with various parties."
Al-Sorji called for "creating a dialogue between the Kurdish parties, not through the Kurdistan Democratic Party's attempt to impose its will on others and exclude them."
It is noteworthy that a member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Wafaa Muhammad, confirmed in a previous statement to “Al-Maalouma” that the political blockage in the Kurdish house is still in force regarding the dispute over the presidential candidate and the elections of the Kurdistan region.
