On Sunday, the caretaker prime minister, Mustafa Al-Kazemi, directed to send a ministerial delegation to Tehran to discuss importing Iranian gas.
And the government's media office said in a statement received by the agency, "Al-Maalouma", that "the Ministerial Energy Council directed, on the sidelines of a meeting, to assign a working team from the Ministry of Electricity to travel to Tehran and solve problems related to the Iranian side regarding supplying Iraq with gas."
The statement added, "He directed the need to take practical steps by overcoming all obstacles facing production, transportation, distribution and maintenance operations."
