The European Union calls on neighboring countries not to interfere in Iraq's affairs and offers cooperation on Sinjar
Shafaq News/ On Thursday, a delegation from the European Union called on neighboring countries to Iraq not to interfere in this country's internal affairs, expressing its readiness to cooperate with the federal government in the field of normalizing the situation in Sinjar district and returning the displaced from it to their homes.
This came in a press conference held by Natalie Loiseau, Chair of the Defense Committee of the European Parliament, who headed the EU delegation on his visit to Iraq.
Loazo said in a press conference she held in the Kurdistan Parliament building after a meeting with the Presidency of the Parliament, that "with regard to the attacks of ISIS, the presence of the international coalition forces had an impact on the stability of the region, and we will continue our support for the coalition and Iraq in facing the dangers of the extremist organization."
She added that with regard to the disputed areas, partnership and coordination between the Iraqi forces and the Kurdistan Region is important in them.
Loazzo added that "the situation in Sinjar is worrying, and the displaced should return to the villages and districts of the district and lead a normal life," noting that "the Iraqi government should work to normalize the situation in Sinjar, and the European Union is ready to provide assistance to Iraq in this field."
