Yesterday, Monday, Central Bank Governor Mustafa Ghaleb Makheef discussed aspects of banking and economic cooperation with Iran and the payment of financial dues.
A statement by the bank stated that "Makhif received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Iraq, Muhammad Kazem Al Sadiq, and congratulated him on the occasion of assuming the position, looking forward to greater cooperation in the next stage."
The statement indicated that "the two sides discussed during the meeting aspects of banking and economic cooperation between the two countries, the payment of the financial dues owed by Iraq, and overcoming the obstacles facing the work of Iranian companies in the country."
