leader of the State of Law coalition, Turki Al-Atabi, confirmed, on Sunday, the existence of major lapses during the passage of the provisions of the Food Security Law, indicating that the injustice of the rights of the segments will lead to an uncontrolled popular explosion.

Al-Atbi said in an interview with “Information” that “we warned early on the danger of proceeding with passing the Food Security Law and the need to support efforts to approve the general budget for 2022, as it is the basis for solving all the problems in the Iraqi scene, whether they are material or service, because it is the mother of laws in our view.
” Al-Atbi added . “Ensuring the rights of segments and leaving others behind created waves of popular demonstrations in several southern cities and will escalate in the coming days,” stressing that “it was more appropriate to contain everyone and push for the budget law to be the original guarantee of the rights of all segments without exception.”
He pointed out that "big mistakes that exist in food security will trigger a popular rage in Iraq, stressing the importance of interacting with the demands of the segments and realistically considering their legitimate rights."
Several southern governorates, including Basra and Dhi Qar, are witnessing demonstrations and road blocks to demand their public rights.
