The Iraqi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that there is no evidence so far of mass executions of Iraqis on the Polish border.

The ministry's spokesman, Ahmed Al-Sahaf, said that "the Ministry of Foreign Affairs had previously directed the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Warsaw to the importance of coordinating with the Polish side, following information circulated by the media at the time that Iraqi immigrants were exposed to dangers affecting their lives."

He added, "On 7/2/2022, the embassy embarked on high-level coordination and investigation through the relevant authorities in Poland, and it was proven that the news issued by foreign and local media were incorrect, due to the lack of any reliable and legal evidence such as eyewitnesses, video footage or photos. to the mass executions on the Polish-Belarusian border, in addition to the fact that no official complaint was received from any Iraqi citizen referring to what was mentioned in those news.”

He pointed out that "the government has previously formed a specialized legal team concerned with following up on this file, and it will present its report upon completion of the investigation's follow-up."

And the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Wednesday, that it is investigating the accuracy of reports about the exposure of numbers of Iraqi immigrants to dangers that threaten their lives.
