The Border Ports Authority announced, on Wednesday, that it had seized and thwarted an attempt to smuggle 9 wheels and waste public money at the Trebil border port.
The authority stated in a statement, that "by checking the completed customs transactions for motor power wheels, it was found that the license attached to the transaction is for used and undamaged wheels, and upon detection, it was found that they were unused (zero) wheels, and this is a customs violation as it is an attempt to evade the payment of import license fees and examination (COR)".
The statement added that "a fundamental seizure report was organized and the manner and customs treatment was referred to the Trebil customs police station." Ended 29/N33
