Shafaq News/ The Preparatory Committee for the Coordination Framework Demonstrations has set, on Sunday evening, the location and date for the start of its supporters' demonstrations scheduled for tomorrow "on the walls" of the Green Zone in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
The "Organizational Committee for Supporting Legitimacy and Preserving State Institutions" affiliated with the Shiite coordination framework, earlier today, had its supporters to demonstrate tomorrow against what it described as "the suspicious coup and the hijacking of the state", in reference to the sit-in of supporters of the leader of the Sadrist movement Muqtada al-Sadr, inside Parliament. in the green area.
The committee stated, in a statement to Shafaq News Agency, that "the starting place for the demonstration, at five o'clock in the afternoon tomorrow, will be at the suspension bridge within the Karrada area in the center of the capital, Baghdad."
She added that "the demonstration will be attended by leaders in the coordination framework, and some leaders of the Popular Mobilization," pointing out that "the elements of the crowd will strike a security cordon to protect the demonstrators of the framework."
The Preparatory Committee indicated, “Extending the time of the demonstration, or turning it into an open sit-in, is left to the leadership of the coordination framework,” noting at the same time, that “the demonstration will not carry any anti-Sadr slogans, but rather against the government of Mustafa Al-Kazemi, as the airport road will be cut off.” to ensure that he does not travel.
This call comes in response to the announcement by the leader of the Sadrist movement, Muqtada al-Sadr, earlier today, to "liberate" the Green Zone in the center of the capital, Baghdad, while calling on Iraqis to "reform revolution" and change the political system in Iraq.
Al-Sadr considered the current demonstrations in Parliament a "great opportunity for a fundamental change of the political system, the constitution and elections," addressing the people by saying: "You are all responsible and you are all at stake...
