The Iraqi judiciary is taking legal measures against the former Minister of Industry over the video recording
Shafaq News/ The Supreme Judicial Council announced in a brief statement today, Sunday, that the second Karkh investigation court has taken legal measures against the former Minister of Industry, Saleh Abdullah Al-Jubouri, to investigate what was stated in the recording in which he appears taking the oath to work for the benefit of a political party.
On Friday, Iraqi blogger Ali Fadel published a video clip of the former Minister of Industry, Saleh al-Jubouri, taking the oath by pledging the ministry under the command of the head of his parliamentary bloc, Representative Ahmed al-Jubouri.
The leaked video showed Minister Saleh al-Jubouri, who assumed his position in the government of former Prime Minister Adel Abdul-Mahdi, as he put his hand on the Holy Qur’an, and swears that all his decisions and orders will be according to what MP Ahmed al-Jubouri sees.
Abdul-Mahdi's government was formed in 2018, following the parliamentary elections that Iraq held at the time, and it was a consensual government among the parliamentary blocs.
