Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Judicial Council announced, on Monday, that the Iranian capital, Tehran, would host an Iraqi-Iranian meeting to exchange information regarding the assassination of the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and the commander of the Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, who were killed in an American strike near Baghdad airport in 2020.
A statement by the council received by Shafaq News agency stated, "The Iraqi judicial delegation met with the Iranian judicial delegation as part of the work of the joint judicial committee between the two countries to exchange information and the latest investigative measures taken regarding the airport crime."

The statement quoted the Iraqi judicial delegation as saying, "The judiciary's approach in dealing with any crime brought before it is in accordance with the evidence stipulated in the laws in force and provided by the security authorities that undertake the investigation, and that the judiciary will take legal measures against everyone for whom evidence is proven." complicity in this crime.
Last Thursday, the head of the Supreme Judicial Council in Iraq, Faeq Zaidan, described the assassination of leaders of the Popular Mobilization Forces by an American plane in 2020, as a "treacherous crime that has no legal basis."

Zidan added, "The responsibility of the judiciary to hold accountable those who committed the crime against the leaders of victory doubles," pointing out that "the judiciary will not hesitate to take legal measures against those who prove evidence of their participation in the crime of assassinating the leaders of victory."
And Zaidan said, "The judiciary issued an arrest warrant against the former US president, who confessed to having committed the crime," calling on "those investigating the assassination of the victory leaders to make an exceptional effort to uncover the perpetrators."
This came in a speech delivered by Zaidan during an official forum held in Baghdad, today, on the third anniversary of the American assassination operation that targeted, with a drone, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Forces, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis, and the commander of the Iranian Quds Force, Qassem Soleimani, and their companions near Baghdad International Airport in 2020.
