Regional security and the fight against "terrorism" top the discussions of Al-Kazemi and a senior US commander in Baghdad
Shafaq News/ The Iraqi Prime Minister and Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces Mustafa Al-Kazemi received today, Thursday, the commander of the US Central Command, General Michael Corella, and his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, according to a statement by Al-Kazemi's office received by Shafaq News Agency, "discussing the developments of the situation in Iraq and the region, and discussing common issues and files regarding regional security, and counter-terrorism efforts."
The meeting discussed "the prospects for bilateral cooperation, and the aspiration to develop it in the various security and military fields, especially training, providing advice, and enhancing security expertise, in a way that contributes to raising the capabilities of the Iraqi military forces to face security challenges."
