    Today, Friday, the Ministry of Agriculture confirmed the tendency to address the previous accumulations regarding abuses on agricultural lands since 2003 until today, and while indicating that the Cabinet’s decision to own slums on conditions came according to legal and scientific grounds, it pointed out that random lands and abuses will be evaluated on the basis of the meter. the one.
    The ministry's spokesman, Hamid al-Nayef, said, "The cabinet's decision to own slums, or cancel transgressions, or give them to their occupants, did not come arbitrarily.
    Al-Nayef added, "Many of the slums inside the capital, Baghdad, have become integrated housing, in which water and electricity are available, without the state benefiting from them. These slums need organization and rehabilitation processes in order to complete their file."
    He stressed that "the decision of the Council of Ministers will contribute to ending informal settlements, especially after many agricultural lands have become residential, and therefore it must be organized for the state to benefit financially from it and to ensure the stability of the citizen by providing services."
    He pointed out that "one square meter will be evaluated within the slums and encroachments, which guarantees the existence of an urban movement and benefit from the revitalization of the constructive movement," stressing that "its organization is very important, specifically within the capital, Baghdad, due to the large number of slums with the presence of taboo areas that require granting their residents lands in the locations Others, to ensure the organization of cities.
    He stressed that "preserving the design and aesthetics of cities is a very important point, while not allowing encroachment on agricultural lands or orchards, and there are strict laws in this direction," referring to "the tendency to deal with previous accumulations since 2003 until today."
    And he indicated, "The Ministry of Agriculture tends to preserve other agricultural lands, and not to prejudice them, because it is against razing orchards and distributing them in the form of plots, as well as against exploiting arable lands and converting them into residential ones."
