    Amanat Baghdad is preparing to prepare a database of agricultural lands that will be converted into residential after completing the site and aerial survey.
    The assistant director of the Department of Information and Relations in the Municipality, Saad Al-Bukhati, told Al-Sabah, which was followed by Al-Iqtisad News: “The Design Department is working on preparing a database of agricultural lands whose gender will be converted into residential, in implementation of Cabinet Resolution No. 320 and the activation of Resolution 501 of 1980 of the Municipality Which permitted the appropriation of all agricultural lands owned by the state and converting them into residential ones, provided that they are not allocated for investment projects or conflict with projects built on them.
    He added, "Municipal directorates have completed all aerial and on-site surveys of those lands, as well as promoting all transactions submitted by citizens and checking their data."
    Al-Bukhati pointed out that "the agricultural lands that will be included in the aforementioned decision must be built in an organized manner and within specific areas," explaining that "the appropriation of land according to the law will be exclusively for the state, because the law did not address lands belonging to people, and it is hoped that there will be A law to be legislated in Parliament to solve the problem of those lands. 
    He stated that "the ownership of agricultural lands is for one beneficiary from the family and for one time, and minors from the same family may not be owned, pointing out that the lands will be sorted according to the law and according to the area's design, and that the plot is not less than 200 meters and does not exceed 800 meters."
    Al-Bukhati noted that "a committee will be formed headed by the Mayor of Baghdad to determine the prices of those lands," noting that "the decision to convert the type of land from agricultural to residential requires great efforts, and that the Municipality is working to end this file, which was described as thorny and complex, and to complete it within the specified period so that there will be movements for files." Others, including the file of slums and transgressions that had a law presented to the House of Representatives, and there was a first reading, and then it was withdrawn for the purpose of making the necessary amendments in line with the changes in those areas.
    In turn, the director of the People's Municipality, Saad Al-Daraji, told Al-Sabah: "The number of transactions promoted by the municipality related to converting the gender of agricultural lands into residential ones amounted to three thousand and 500 transactions," noting that "the municipality includes most of the agricultural areas covered by the decision, including the first and second Kufa regions." Seven palaces, Al-Sadr neighborhood, Al-Salam and Al-Kawthar.
