There are many reasons and repercussions behind the rise in the price of the dollar, most notably the scarcity of the currency and the increase in demand, which caused a recession in the local markets.

At a time when the Iraqi street was waiting for governmental decisions leading to the return of the exchange rate of the dollar to its predecessor, popular circles were surprised by the rise, which made matters worse and confused the economic movement, making the citizen the weakest link in it.
Internal affairs specialists held the concerned authorities responsible for the scarcity of hard currency and the rise in the prices of imported products in general.

Despite the discontent of the Iraqi street, the next year's budget will be approved according to the current exchange rate without change, despite the rise in oil prices and the financial abundance in the central treasury.
