Today, Tuesday, the representative of the coordinating framework, Aref Al-Hamami, revealed the date for the resumption of the sessions of the Iraqi Parliament.
Al-Hamami said, in a press interview seen by “Takadum”, that “the Iraqi parliament ended its constitutional and legislative recess two days ago, and it will reconvene its sessions with a new legislative term during the next week, as a maximum Sunday.”
And he indicated that “until now, the Presidency of the House of Representatives has not set a date for the next session, which will be the beginning of the legislative term, and the call for the resumption of sessions may take place during the next two days, and the first session of the new legislative term will be at the beginning of next week.”
Parliament is awaiting discussion and approval of several laws, the most important of which is the 2023 budget, which is expected to be passed to Parliament within the second month of this year.
