    . On Sunday, the Ministry of Electricity clarified the details of the memorandum of understanding concluded between Iraq and Siemens to develop the reality of energy in Iraq, while noting that the Sudanese Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a, is still affirming his interest in the electricity sector. 
    Ahmed Al-Abadi, a spokesman for the Ministry of Electricity, said in a statement reported by the official newspaper, "Prime Minister Muhammad Shia'a al-Sudani continues to confirm his interest and concern for the electricity sector, and that his steps are serious in removing injustice and injustice from citizens in light of the real problem in this file, which calls for strategic solutions."
    He added, "The prime minister's visit to Germany focused on discussing support for the infrastructure of the electricity sector with the German company (Siemens), which has been a solid and essential partner for years with the Ministry of Electricity, and they have a number of works, stations and facilities that were installed and manufactured in Iraq."
    Al-Abadi explained that "Al-Sudani's visit meant signing the memorandum of understanding with (Siemens)", explaining that "the most important thing in this memorandum is the installation of production stations at a rate of 6 thousand megawatts, in addition to interest in solar energy projects. Transfer to drain the produced energies, and the memorandum also included details related to the possibility of exploiting associated and natural gas fields by the Ministry of Electricity and the establishment of refineries for the benefit of the ministry.
    He pointed out that the electricity problem is real and is represented by the decline in gas emissions, whether supplied or national, and the urgent need for fuel and gas, so the memorandum of understanding discussed this part of the issue.
