Shafaq News/ Today, Tuesday, the Iraqi President, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, presented, in a session of the Davos Economic Forum in Switzerland, a number of proposals on the blockade of countries and "material pressures" that change the course of the democratic process.
The Presidency of the Republic said, in a statement received by Shafaq News Agency, that President Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid attended today the dialogue session entitled (Democracy, the Way Forward), which was held on the sidelines of the Economic Forum, at the Congress headquarters in Davos, Switzerland, indicating that the session She discussed the global political situation on democracy and some of the factors that have a direct impact on it, in addition to ways to end dictatorial policies and their effects on the democratic process.
According to the statement, the Iraqi president proposed, and during the session, some important points centered on criticizing the imposition of the blockade on a country, as the blockade usually has negative effects on the majority of the people without affecting the dictatorial and totalitarian governments.
He also pointed out that there is a problem with the election process in some democracies, as material pressures change the course of the democratic process and sometimes impose personalities that you do not believe in, and in order to support democracy, there must be a single standard of human rights that applies to all countries without exception and is not subject to the influences of relationships. own.
On the other hand, the President of the Republic met, during the session, with some leaders of the countries participating in the forum, including the King of Belgium, King Philippe, and the President of the Republic of Costa Rica, Rodrigo Chavez.
