    Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani announced today, Wednesday, that Basra will soon host the Iraq Climate Conference.
    The media office of the Prime Minister said in a statement received by “SMC” that “Prime Minister Muhammad Shia’a Al-Sudani

    Today, he received a number of representatives of Iraqi civil society organizations that have an advisory status with the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations, in the presence of the Human Rights Adviser.
    During the meeting, Al-Sudani appreciated “the efforts made by these organizations to consolidate the principles of human rights in accordance with the contents of the constitution,” stressing “the importance of ensuring all civil rights for citizens.”
    Al-Sudani affirmed, “The government’s ministerial curriculum guarantees the protection of public and private freedoms, as well as the freedoms of all segments of Iraqi society.”
