The dispute broke out last year between Erbil and Baghdad.
The media advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister, Hisham al-Rikabi, said that the understanding between the Iraqi federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government allows the region's revenues to be at a known account and under government control.
Al-Rikabi confirmed, on Thursday, in a tweet on his official account on Twitter, that "the high understanding and keenness of the federal government and the Kurdistan Regional Government resulted in what was stated in the federal budget."
He added, "For the first time since 2003, the region's oil revenues are in a known account and under the supervision of the federal government, and in light of that, all other accounts were closed."

Under the Iraqi constitution, the KRG is entitled to a portion of the national budget. But this system collapsed in 2014, when the Kurds took control of the main oil fields in northern Iraq, Kirkuk, from ISIS fighters, and began selling crude from there independently.
In 2018, Iraqi forces retook disputed territories, including the oil city of Kirkuk. Baghdad resumed pumping some payments into the budget but the pumping was sporadic, and the federal government attempted to bring the KRG's revenues under its control, including through local court rulings and threats of international arbitration.
The dispute erupted last year between Erbil and Baghdad after a federal court ruling, last February, considered that the legal foundations of the oil and gas sector in the Kurdistan region were unconstitutional.
Agreeing on regular payments from the budget from Baghdad will help the authorities in the Kurdistan Regional Government solve the crisis of late payments to international oil companies in the region, as well as reduce the accumulation of salaries for KRG employees, according to Reuters previously.
