The spokeswoman of the Secretary of State, Marie Harff said in a news conference: "We will continue to urge Iraqi leaders to reach an agreement on these two important posts (the Ministries of Interior and Defense) as soon as possible."
Harff added that she "appreciates the efforts made by the leaders of Iraq so far in the formation of an inclusive government, but of course they must act without delay and take the necessary decisions to complete the formation of the government."
The spokeswoman of the Secretary of State expressed optimism in resolving the issue of ratification of the ministers by saying that "the formation of governments in parliamentary systems often involves nomination and voting processes as part of the democratic process ./ End
