Today, Monday, the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs clarified its procedures against violators of the social protection network.
"The Ministry of Labor checks sections of the beneficiary families' data, so that many of the unworthy are singled out, so that social protection funds go to those who are eligible," the ministry's spokesman, Najm Al-Aqabi, told the official news agency.
He added, "The procedures against the transgressors on the social protection network are to recover the money in full, and people who cannot pay the sums owed by them in one go, can bring a sponsor, so that the amount will be paid in installments."
He pointed out, "The law allows those who violate the social protection network to pay the amounts by installments for a period of 10 years, if the amounts are very large."
The Ministry of Labor had announced, earlier, that 163,000 transgressors had been monitored on the social welfare network.
