    Economy News _ Baghdad
Today, Wednesday, Prime Minister Muhammad Shia al-Sudani suggested that Iraq would export gas within 3-5 years, at a time when this country is currently classified as one of the world's most gas-burning countries without any investment.
This came during a press interview that the Prime Minister conducted with Al-Oula TV, and he mentioned the most important things that his media office said in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News.
Al-Sudani said, during the press interview, that "the fifth round of licensing gas projects, in addition to the Total project, and the projects of the sixth round, will make Iraq self-sufficient and an exporter of gas within 3-5 years."
He added that his government's strategic goal is "the development road, the port of Faw, and the industrial city," adding, "The Turks are enthusiastic about the development road project, because it connects our ports with Turkey to Europe, and a network of roads, rail links, and transit transportation can branch out in this region."
And the Prime Minister continued, "We asked the Italian consultant to prepare designs for oil and gas transmission lines, next to the land road and the railway from the port of Faw to Turkey."
He pointed out that "the difference in his visits to Germany was that it prepared the allocations for the implementation of contracts with Siemens, and after a month the final contracts were signed, and because of this credibility, Siemens reduced 30% of the costs of maintenance contracts."
Regarding the federal budget law, Al-Sudani explained, "The government has reached understandings at the level of most political forces, in explaining the dimensions of the budget law for three years, and everyone is convinced of the importance of approving the budget law, and many deputies are keen on the success of the three-year budget."

In the context, the Prime Minister believed that "the time has come for reform, and that it is logical for everyone to work for the success of the government, because it is a success for the approach to managing the state, and it does not threaten anyone," stressing that "it is not possible to undertake tasks and challenges without there being an opportunity." For evaluation, six months is sufficient for evaluation and diagnosis.
On the other hand, Al-Sudani noted that "what is important in our daily work is to follow up the performance of the ministries and governors, to give powers and to follow up on implementation," stressing that "all the decisions of the Council of Ministers are implemented, and there is a team that follows up on the implementation process."
And he indicated that "partisan interests exist, but many of these practices have been put to an end, and dialogue has been adopted to make it clear that their contexts are unacceptable," adding, "We did not make vague promises, and we are keen to implement the decisions we announce."
The prime minister concluded by saying, "The cabinet reshuffle is a decision up to the prime minister, and I am determined on it, and it falls within our constitutional powers, and is not an issue of mood."
