Shafaq News/ On Monday, the Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia'a Al-Sudani, announced the launch of the national strategy for education for the years 2022-2031. He also announced a plan to send 5,000 students, both male and female, for the purpose of studying outside Iraq, within various specializations and fields.
This came during his inauguration of the strategy conference, which was held on Monday morning, in the capital, Baghdad, according to a statement issued by his office and received by Shafaq News Agency.

Al-Sudani said in a speech he delivered during the opening of the conference, "We welcome this elite group of academics and experts from inside and outside Iraq, as they meet in Baghdad to launch the National Strategy for Education (2022-2031), indicating that the strategy draws a road map for reforming the educational system, in accordance with With international standards, and raise the quality and efficiency of our educational system.
He added that the strategy was drawn up by experts in the relevant sectoral ministries, in cooperation with international experts and international institutions and organizations, led by the World Bank, UNESCO and UNICEF, stressing that our educational and educational system will recover, after it was shaken starting from the nineties of the last century, as a result of the reckless policies of the exterminated dictatorial regime.
The ministerial curriculum, according to Al-Sudani, included an ambitious vision aimed at creating an educational system that has the elements of completion and success, making it consistent with international standards, explaining that we are working to recall successful global experiences, without prejudice to the civilized value system of Iraq.
He stressed: We aim to establish an educational system that contributes to consolidating the concepts of fraternity, coexistence, and acceptance of the other, adding that we aim for educational institutions to build systems that promote creative thinking, and that the outputs of education are in line with the requirements of the sustainable development plans approved by the United Nations until 2030.
He also said, "We will undertake direct supervision of the smallest details of the implementation of this strategy, through a central committee under our supervision and working with relevant sectoral teams," stressing that we are keen to provide the necessary financial budget to implement all the projects and programs contained therein.
And he continued, it is not possible to build a health system, good infrastructure, a clean environment, rational water management, eradication of poverty, and development of the private sector, unless we have a solid educational and educational system, stressing that the government will make efforts and money in order for Iraq to restore its position in the educational aspect.
The Prime Minister emphasized that we seek to develop human resources by hiring academic staff in international scientific institutions to learn and gain experience.
