Shafaq News/ Nawras Al-Issa, a member of the Taqaddam coalition, confirmed on Monday that the House of Representatives supports the popular movement to establish the salary scale and achieve justice among state employees.

Al-Issa told Shafaq News agency, "The current salary scale is characterized by prejudice, absence of justice, and unfairness, affecting most employees in certain ministries compared to their peers in other ministries, which should not continue."

Al-Issa promised, "The imaginary discrepancy between the salaries of ministries is a catastrophe that affected the living conditions of employees from the lower and middle classes, despite the great efforts made by employees with lower salaries," noting that "the low salaries and their disparity created serious social and life problems."

And she indicated that "the committee formed by the Ministries of Finance and Planning is concerned with the file of the salary scale and has nothing to do with the budget law," considering that "the continuation of the popular movement is the best solution to put pressure on the government and push towards speeding up the approval of the law in the Council of Ministers and sending it to the House of Representatives for a vote on it."

She affirmed the Parliament's support for the popular movement, which calls for amending the salary scale, "to do justice to a large segment of low-paid employees, and to ensure justice and equality with their peers in other ministries."

About a week ago, hundreds of employees demonstrated to demand the approval of the new salary scale to achieve justice among state employees.
