The Ministry of the Interior tends to increase the outlets for registering motorcycles and "ticking and stuttering", to reduce the momentum in traffic sites. A member of the Security and Defense Committee in the House of Representatives, Ali Al-Bandawi, told Al-Sabah that a large segment of the people work on "stouta and tick-tuk" bikes, despite the objections and great confusion over their presence and causing traffic jams in the streets. The need to expedite the registration of these bicycles, and confirm their ownership to their owners due to the presence of many killings and assassinations, in addition to using them to transport prohibited materials. It is a vehicle subject to the law and fines are imposed on it if it violates traffic instructions, calling for its official registration at customs. Al-Qaisi added that these bikes, which have a 40cc engine or above, and which carry a permit and a letter from the customs that regulate their registration in traffic, but without that, they are not registered and are considered children's toys, and they are not allowed to go out to the main streets.
