    [size=45]Yesterday, Monday, the Kurdistan Regional Government called on the federal government and political blocs to implement political agreements and guarantee constitutional rights.[/size]
    [size=45]A statement by the Kurdistan Regional Government, which was received by (Al-Mada), stated that “The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, supervised, in the presence of Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani, yesterday, Monday, a meeting on reorganizing public finances in the region.”[/size]
    [size=45]And he explained, “The meeting also touched on the rights of the region and its financial entitlements in the draft federal budget law currently presented to the Parliamentary Finance Committee.[/size]
    [size=45]The meeting expressed, according to the statement, its thanks to everyone who played a role in introducing amendments to the draft budget law to remove obstacles that impede sending the region's share of the budget.[/size]
    [size=45]He stated, "The meeting also praised the members of the Council of Ministers and the representatives of the Kurdish blocs who defended with one voice the constitutional rights and entitlements of the region, and joined their efforts in order to secure the salaries and livelihood of the citizens of the region from the federal general budget."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement noted, "The demand of the federal government and the main parties from which the government emerged, to abide by the agreements and guarantee the entitlements and rights of the Kurdistan region on an equal basis with the rest of Iraq's regions, as stipulated in the constitution."[/size]
    [size=45]And Baghdad had witnessed, on (April 4, 2023), the signing of an agreement to resume exporting the oil of the Kurdistan Region, in the presence of the Federal Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, and the President of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani.[/size]
    [size=45]And the statement continued, "The meeting also reviewed the decision to reorganize public finances throughout the region, which was approved by the Kurdistan Regional Council of Ministers at its last weekly meeting, in which the Prime Minister and his deputy were authorized to identify an appropriate mechanism in order to expedite the implementation of the decision."[/size]
    [size=45]He pointed out, to "discussions related to drafting a mechanism for reorganizing public revenues and expenditures throughout the Kurdistan region, and emphasizing that financing salaries, as a priority in expenditures and considering them sovereign expenditures, is a priority in the work of the Kurdistan Regional Government."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement stressed the necessity of distributing other public expenditures, “distributing them fairly according to the number of residents in the governorates and independent administrations.”[/size]
    [size=45]And he talked about "a decision taken, after discussions, to unify the bank account of all sources of revenue across the region in one bank account, and to end the proportional distribution."[/size]
    [size=45]The statement stated, “The meeting decided to start the process of linking the banks and treasuries of the Kurdistan region as soon as possible, using an electronic system.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, "This is to protect public revenues and enhance transparency in the management of revenues and expenditures, and strive towards formulating a spending plan aimed at achieving a balance between revenues and expenditures."[/size]
    [size=45]And the statement went on, “The President of the Kurdistan Regional Government indicated that efforts are now underway to establish an advanced and modern financial and banking system in the Kurdistan region, in cooperation with local and foreign experts.”[/size]
