    Information / Baghdad...
The committees formed for the purpose of resolving the oil and gas law continue their work and meetings, especially between Baghdad and Erbil, with the aim of resolving the law before it is fully agreed upon and presented to the House of Representatives in order to legislate and act upon it to eliminate problems between the center and the region.

At a time when political parties ruled out the Kurds’ acceptance of the oil and gas law in its current form, especially after it was rejected more than once after it was presented by previous governments to the Council of Ministers for approval and sending it to the House of Representatives for the purpose of its legislation, the Kurdish rejection was present, which delayed the resolution of the law. To this day.
Former MP Jassim Muhammad Jaafar told Al-Maalouma, "The Kurds got their chance in the oil and gas law in 2008 when the law was sent from the Council of Ministers to Parliament for its legislation."
Jaafar added, "Erbil rejected the law despite its resolution within the Council of Ministers in the aforementioned year, demanding a law that meets their aspirations and is in their interest, whether with or without consensus on passing this law, which excludes its resolution."

On the other hand, Ali Al-Zubaidi, a member of the Al-Fateh Alliance, told Al-Maalouma that “the oil and gas law has been postponed a lot as a result of the escalation of political disputes around it, which necessitates that the law be properly prepared so that it is fair to all and makes the center the main engine for this law.” By distributing wealth to everyone without prejudice to any province, whether in the region or outside it.
Al-Zubaidi added, "Parliament may be on the verge of heated debates regarding the oil and gas law."

He pointed out that "there are some objections that often occur when trying to introduce the law."
On the other hand, the representative of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, Jay Taymur, confirmed to Al-Malooma, that "the Sudanese government is serious about sending the draft oil and gas law to parliament and the relevant committees continue their meetings, hoping that they will finish drawing up the draft and refer it to parliament."

He added, "Dialogues are continuing to remove all differences facing the legislation of the law."
Timur pointed out that "there is a common vision between the Baghdad government and the regional government to end the file of the oil and gas law and send it to the House of Representatives within the coming weeks." ended 25 n
