    Today, Thursday, Minister of Health Saleh Al-Hasnawi identified the hospitals included in providing health insurance services in its first phase, and while he referred to the categories included within this phase, he confirmed that the law will provide almost free services to those covered by social care.
    Al-Hasnawi said in a press conference held in the House of Representatives building with the participation of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee, that “the ministry will launch next Sunday health insurance services, which will be implemented for the first time in the history of Iraq,” indicating that “those included in the first phase of health insurance are employees of the ministries of finance, electricity, higher education, and reconstruction.” Communications and Agriculture, in addition to the High Commission for Human Rights, the National Accountability and Justice Authority, the National Service Council, the Royal Claims Authority, the Prime Minister’s Office, the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers, the National Investment Authority, the Radioactive Sources Control Authority, the House of Wisdom, the Civil Aviation Authority, the Border Ports Authority, and the High Elections Commission.”
    He added that "the guarantee includes the employees of these institutions and their families," noting that "the outlets for providing health services for this stage include the Ibn Sina Training Hospital, the private nursing home in the City of Medicine, the Martyr Ghazi Hariri Hospital, the private wing in the City of Medicine, the Al-Alawiya Children's Hospital, the Al-Alawiya Maternity Hospital, and Al-Kindi Teaching Hospital." Saad Al-Watari Hospital for Neurological Sciences, Ibn Al-Haytham Eye Hospital, Ibn Al-Bitar Hospital, Al-Imam Al-Kazemin Medical City, Al-Karkh Maternity Hospital, in addition to consulting clinics in the nursing home, the National Dental Center, the Consulting Medical Center, and Yarmouk Hospital, in addition to popular clinics that will be announced next week.”
    He stated that "the law provides highly subsidized services to participating employees and their families, in addition to 100,000 citizens covered by social care, as full medical services will be provided to them almost free of charge."
    He explained, "The law aims to improve medical services and help citizens through the state's contribution of a large value of health services, as well as reducing poverty."
    He stated that "1% will be deducted from the salaries of those covered in exchange for these services," pointing out that "if they need any health services, they must go to the aforementioned outlets, and they will find a special branch for health insurance to complete the data and provide health services to them."
