The Independent High Electoral Commission is conducting a simulation for the fourth time in the middle of this month.
The head of the Commission's media team, Dr. Imad Jameel, told "Al-Sabah": The simulation will take place in which electronic results will be sent via the transmission medium, to know the time the Commission needs to send these results, indicating that the simulation will involve Commission employees in addition to workers in polling stations.
For her part, Jumana Al-Ghalai, member of the Commission’s media team, set the second third of this month as the date for distributing biometric cards among voters who registered and updated
their data.
Al-Ghalai explained, in an interview with Al-Sabah, that the biometric cards will be distributed to voters who registered their data since March of last year and followed the updating process that took place during this year, indicating that their number is approximately two million voters
.
She added that the Commission is continuing to print these cards and the distribution process will begin in the second third of this month through registration centers, pointing out that the Commission has prepared a media campaign to invite voters to visit the registration centers to receive their biometric cards, the availability of which will be a basic condition in the voting process, in addition to the availability of mobile teams to distribute them.
