Talib added, “The company supplies (30) million liters of gasoline and (28) million liters of kerosene daily, in addition to (14) million liters of white oil and petroleum derivatives to state departments,” stressing that “ending the cash supply in filling stations Fuel, the success of the electronic payment project in the country, and digital transformation represent a cultural phenomenon similar to other countries.”
He pointed out that "the matter has a security aspect, represented by preserving money from theft, in addition to another service aspect for the citizen, who will receive his petroleum derivatives in the correct manner, and the deduction will be at the official price shown on the fuel processing screen, in addition to ending the issue of suspicion and charges directed against fuel distributors and filling stations." He explained that “every official electronic payment card issued by banks and not restricted or monopolized by a specific company or bank, is licensed and authorized to supply the citizen with fuel,” pointing out that “governmental and private banks have developed an application to achieve this matter, and we will have a symposium during this week that will be a broad discussion.” In the presence of all parties, including banks and institutions.”
He pointed out that "the company communicated with Al-Rafidain, Al-Rasheed, and Al-Sina'i banks, and all authorized and private government banks, which in turn prepared an official application that allows citizens to obtain a payment card while they are at home by filling out the information within the application."
He continued, "The company intends, in coordination with the Central Bank and the banks, to further simplify the procedures by opening kiosks or offices at filling stations to receive citizens who are unable to reach the banks due to crowding."
He stressed, "We will continue to make this project a success, and end the largest cash bloc in the country through digital transformation," noting that "the electronic payment process will be launched in all governorates on a trial basis during the current month, and starting next January, specifically the first quarter of 2024, the process will begin."
