[size=45]The head of the Al-Hikma Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, confirmed on Tuesday that “there is no longer a need for the presence of the international coalition in Iraq.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Hakim said during his meeting with the head of the Iranian Supreme Judicial Council, Mohseni Ejei, and his accompanying delegation, and in the presence of some of the leaders of the coordination framework, according to a statement from his office, that “the international coalition came at the request of the government, and after Iraq was declared free of ISIS, it no longer needed the absence of its philosophy of existence, as Iraq no longer accepts international guardianship,” he reiterated his support for “the government’s steps in the dialogue to end the tasks of the international coalition within a specific period of time.”[/size]
[size=45]Al-Hakim also referred to the challenges that Iraq has faced in the last two decades. He also explained that “Iraq has overcome the social, political and security challenges with the wisdom of its people and the support of friends, most notably the Islamic Republic of Iran.”[/size]
[size=45]He also referred to developments in the Palestinian issue, including the genocide to which the Palestinian people are subjected, praising “Iraq’s position as a reference, governmental and popular authority, in defending their Palestinian brothers and making known their oppression.[/size]
