[size=45]The Iraq International Book Fair, organized by Al Mada Foundation for Media, Culture and Arts, opens today, Wednesday, under the patronage of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.[/size]
[size=45]The first day of the exhibition (today, Wednesday) will be devoted to the official opening ceremonies, which will be attended by senior officials in the country, along with political, cultural and social figures.[/size]
[size=45]The exhibition will open its doors tomorrow morning, Thursday, at 10 a.m., for visitors to the exhibition, until 8 p.m., and will continue for ten days, that is, until the 24th of February.[/size]
[size=45]The exhibition, in its fourth session, bears the name (Palestine) as an expression of solidarity with the cause of the Palestinian people, and a position against the Israeli aggression on Gaza. Dialogue and critical sessions will be devoted to (Palestine), and throughout the days of the exhibition, intellectuals and specialists will participate, and symbols of Palestinian heritage will also be present throughout the exhibition. .[/size]
[size=45]A number of writers and artists praised the Iraq International Book Fair, and the storyteller and novelist Muhammad Khudair told (Al-Mada): “The book fair returns this year to confirm the extent of the national cultural identity that is as expansive as Greater Iraq. On the one hand, it is a continuation of previous cultural traditions, and on the other hand, it is an anticipation of the vitality of this Traditions and their presence in times of distress and relief,” adding, “I congratulate the renewal of this occasion, and I hope that its exhibits include diverse cultures, and that they are presented to all segments of the people at reasonable prices.”[/size]

[size=45]The Secretary-General of the Union of Authors and Writers in Iraq, Omar Al-Saray, stressed the importance of holding the Iraq International Book Fair, and allocating the events and activities of its next session to the Palestinian cause.[/size]
[size=45]Al-Saray said in an interview with (Al-Mada), “The idea of ​​the Iraq International Book Fair is distinct and a wonderful initiative to hold such an exhibition in light of the circumstances that the Palestinian people are witnessing and their exposure to genocide in front of the eyes of the world,” noting that “the book fair enhances awareness of the humanitarian issue first, and achieves It is an important forum that brings together under its umbrella a large group of writers, artists, intellectuals, and the book public.”[/size]
[size=45]It is noteworthy that the exhibition is held in cooperation with the General Union of Authors and Writers, and in coordination with the Association of Publishers and Writers in Iraq, and more than 350 Iraqi, Arab and foreign publishing houses from 16 countries participate in it.[/size]
