    The Federal Integrity Commission announced today, Saturday, the implementation of (6) arrests of cases of tampering, scratching, deletion, distortion, and violations in the disbursement of nearly half a billion dinars in the Babylon Municipalities Directorate.
    The Authority’s Government Information and Communications Office stated in a statement received by Al-Iqtisad News, “A working team from the Babylon Investigation Office revealed that the Hilla Municipality Directorate prepared the design of (Al-Herfiyen Neighborhood) for an amount of (488) million dinars in violation of controls and instructions, and without obtaining the approval of the departments.” In addition to the fact that the design has not been approved and has not been announced since 2015, the team was also able to detect scratches, deletions, and distortions in the records of (106) real estate properties.”
    He added, "The director of the municipalities of Babylon and its assessment committee obstructed the transaction of one of the auditors regarding Musataha on a plot of land belonging to the municipality of Al-Musayyab since 2017, despite obtaining the approvals of the relevant departments and their re-evaluation of the property three times, doubling the price in each of them. As for the director of the municipality of Hilla The property official declined, without legal basis, to agree to complete the procedures for registering a plot of land designated for the segment of martyrs of the Popular Mobilization Forces.”
    He continued, "An employee in the Hilla Municipality was arrested for committing violations in registering a plot of land," noting that "one of the surveyors in the municipality submitted a statement in which he stated that the plot was residential while it was commercial, in addition to the incorrectness of the entitlement and its estimate at a price much lower than the real price." Which amounts to (800) million dinars.
    He pointed out that "financial violations were detected in the property division of the department, which included the allocation of another commercial plot of land, and the tearing up of the page of the basic registry registered with it in the Real Estate Registration Directorate in the governorate."
