The Secretary-General of the National Masses Party, Ahmed al-Jubouri, “Abu Mazen,” revealed, on Tuesday, “exciting” details regarding his non-appointment as governor of Salah al-Din, while he revealed that there are those who put pressure on the President of the Republic in this regard.
Abu Mazen said in a televised interview followed by Mawazine News, “A brutal, unjust attack that was caused because the public respects Abu Mazen and they were surprised by the results,” noting that “the peak of hostility reached the elections.”
He added, "There is false targeting in all its details," stressing, "I am a patriotic and tribal man and the son of a family, and I do not have a sectarian soul."
Abu Mazen pointed out that “there are those who put pressure on the President of the Republic in this regard,” stressing that “the sedition in the country is caused by politicians.”
In addition, Abu Mazen considered that “the state considers Saladin not a governorate,” noting that “there is targeting against Saladin, and there is fear among Sunnis and Shiites of Saladin, and the province is a state called Iraq.”
Regarding his evaluation of Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani, Abu Mazen said, “He is brave and a decision maker,” adding that “the prime minister’s position is the largest component.”
Regarding the decision to dismiss Muhammad al-Halbousi from the presidency of Parliament, he said, “It was shocking,” pointing out that “the decision toward the Sunnis is unjust,” adding, “The Federal Court does not have this black and this white.”
