Shafaq News/ A source in the Iranian Armed Forces said on Sunday that Tehran is closely monitoring Jordan's movements, and that if (Jordan) cooperates with Israel, it will be Iran's next target.
The Iranian Mehr Agency quoted an informed source in the Iranian Armed Forces as warning Jordan against cooperating with Israel, saying: “Iran will monitor Jordanian movements, and if they cooperate with Israel, Jordan will be our next target.”
The source stressed: “We warned Jordan and the rest of the countries of the region before the attack began against cooperating with the occupying entity.”
At least 4 countries acknowledged that they contributed to repelling Iran's attack on Israel by shooting down Iranian missiles and drones on Saturday/Sunday night, including America, France, Britain, and Jordan, whose airspace passed dozens of drones.
Two regional security sources said that the Jordanian Air Force intercepted and shot down dozens of Iranian drones that violated the Kingdom’s airspace and were heading to Israel.
The two sources added that the Jordanian army is on high alert and that radar systems are monitoring any drone activity coming from the direction of Iraq and Syria.
Jordanian Prime Minister Bisher Al-Khasawneh said that the Jordanian forces "repelled some flying objects that entered our airspace last night."
For his part, Jordanian Foreign Minister Ayman Al-Safadi said: “We will continue to take the necessary steps to protect Jordan’s security and sovereignty, and we will not allow anyone to endanger our security.”
Al-Safadi added that stopping the dangerous escalation in the region depends on stopping the war in Gaza and starting to implement a plan to end the occupation and achieve peace.
