    [size=45]A member of the Parliamentary Labor and Social Affairs Committee, Amir Al-Mamouri, revealed the date on which the Labor and Social Retirement Law will enter into force, indicating that the law focuses on workers who work in companies and factories, and self-employed people.[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Mamouri said, “The Labor and Social Retirement Law for Workers will come into effect on the first of next May. Workers can register and enter the database officially.”[/size]
    [size=45]He added, “The law focuses on workers who work in companies and factories, and also focuses on those who work in self-employed professions. There is optional security and they can register with the Social Security Department.”[/size]
    [size=45]Al-Mamouri pointed out that “the government supports this law by contributing to this fund in proportion to retirement deductions, in addition to the fact that there are basic retirement contributions for every worker.”[/size]

    [size=45]On December 3, 2023, the Iraqi Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, announced that the retirement and social security law for workers in the private sector would enter into force, after the Iraqi Parliament voted on it last May, in a step that the government described as essential within the economic reforms. promised, and to guarantee the rights of workers in this sector.[/size]
