    Economy News - Baghdad
[rtl]The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the Staff Law is ready for voting at the beginning of the new legislative term, indicating that the law specifies the job grades that ministries need.[/rtl]
[rtl]Committee member Moeen Al-Kadhimi said, “Last month, the Parliamentary Finance Committee hosted the head of the National Retirement Authority, the head of the Federal Service Council, and a number of concerned parties and officials to discuss amending the Landlords Law, which is considered one of the most important laws in the House of Representatives.”[/rtl]
[rtl]He added, "Voting on amending the Staff Law in the House of Representatives will achieve real legal paths for employees and those destined for retirement, in addition to the fact that the law will determine the number of job grades that ministries and state departments need in accordance with the clause of deletion and creation of state ministries and institutions."[/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Kadhimi stated, “Parliament will vote on amending the Landlords Law at the beginning of the next legislative term.”[/rtl]
[rtl]On Sunday, 3/24/2024, the Parliamentary Finance Committee held a meeting regarding the second reading report of the Twenty-First Amendment Law to Landlords Law No. (25) of 1960.[/rtl]
[rtl]Committee Chairman Atwan Al-Atwani said, “The committee is serious about completing the second reading to speed up the approval of this law, which serves a wide segment of citizens and contributes to improving the conditions of employees and achieving social justice.”[/rtl]
[rtl]The Staffing Law is concerned with determining the number of job grades needed by ministries and departments in the Iraqi government according to calculations of deletion, creation, and actual need. It was first issued in 1956, only to be repealed and replaced by the current law in 1960, to which more than 20 amendments were made throughout successive governments in Iraq.[/rtl]
