    Information/Baghdad...
The head of the 160 Committee, MP Yasser Al-Husseini, revealed on Tuesday that there are pressures from three directions, including the American, to undermine its work.
Al-Hussaini said in an interview with Al-Maalouma, "The Parliamentary Order 160 Committee concerned with investigating violations in Iraq's ports has reached important facts supported by evidence and documents to reveal the extent of financial and administrative violations to a large extent."
He added, "The committee is exposed to pressures in three directions: political, governmental, and even the intervention of the American embassy through various tools in an attempt to undermine the work of the 160 Committee because it has reached important facts related to financial and administrative violations and deals."
He pointed out that "despite the pressure, the committee continues to perform its duties in preparation for presenting all its findings to the supervisory authorities."
It is noteworthy that the parliament formed a fact-finding committee to determine the extent of financial and administrative violations in Iraq’s ports. End 25 F
