    The Minister of Finance of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Awat Sheikh Janab, confirmed that the central government in Baghdad is creating problems in the process of paying employees' salaries under the pretext of auditing every time. 

    The Minister's media office said in a statement that "Minister of Finance Awat Sheikh Janab received the Minister of Finance and Economy, Liu Jun, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, and an accompanying delegation."

    He pointed out that "Janab discussed with the Chinese Consul the financial and economic situation of the Kurdistan Region, and the appreciation of relations between the Ministry and the Chinese Consultation, especially in the field of customs and border crossings."     

    In another axis of the meeting, the Minister of Finance briefed the guest on the reforms of the Ministry of Finance in the Kurdistan Government, in the field of taxes, customs, banks, retirement, digitization of institutions and reducing expenses, in addition to emphasizing that the regional government has provided good facilities for foreign companies with the aim of investing in the Kurdistan Region. In this regard, good steps have been taken in building the economic infrastructure in the fields of agriculture, industry and various sectors.

    In another part of the meeting, Awat Sheikh Janab stressed that “there is an understanding and progress to resolve the issue of salaries, and the lists and names of the security forces have been audited several times, while the disbursement of salaries should not be obstructed.” or delayed according to the decision of the Federal Court, but problems are created every month in the face of the disbursement of salaries under the pretext of auditing, although the budget law stipulates that they must be audited every three months, and the Kurdistan Region of Iraq has fulfilled its obligations, including returning the federal treasure’s share of non-oil revenues, sending lists of names of the security forces, and sending the monthly budget review report.”[/rtl]
